Together with Professor Jonathan Clark and Associate Professor Dale Howes, Dr Leinkram was invited to present part of a course at the ADA NSW Centre for professional Development. This exciting course, titled “A Multidisciplinary Approach in the Diagnosis and Management of Oral Cavity Cancers”, brings together head and neck specialists to discuss the latest developments in Head and Neck Cancer diagnosis, treatment and research with a particular emphasis on malignant lesions of the oral cavity.
This course aims to assist general dental practitioners obtain practical information relating to the identification, investigation and initial management of cancers of the oral cavity. Dr Leinkram, together with Professor Clark and Associate Professor Howes, was invited to present the second part of the course. They discussed reconstructive techniques including the latest developments in 3D technology as well as post-operative care and management of patients with oral cancer. Dr Leinkram’s topic of discussion was “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Following Head and Neck Cancer Treatment”.
